War of the Worlds
On Friday, me and Dear decided to go out. I knocked off at 630 but stayed in office till 8 cos Dear is still rushing a project lor. So I stayed in office to clear my emails. So many lor..I also dunno how to categorise them cos these emails doesn't make sense to me at the moment. My seniors told me slowly it will all make sense and I will be able to categorise them accordingly..heh.
Met Dear at city hall station..then we took the train back to Dear's house first..we decided to book our movie tixs online but dunno why the GV online system cannot book..so we decide to just go Tampines Mall to book lor. Dear's parents ask us to eat chao guo tiao first..think I am super hungry cos I do not really like to eat chao guo tiao one but Dear says that I am eating at almost the same speed as him..haha.
Around 10 after the 9 o'clock "Bai wei xiu" show, we make our way to Tampines Mall. We bought our War of the Worlds tickets. Yay! Very happy! Finally got the chance to watch it. I wanted to watch it even before Dear was admitted to hospital for dengue..luckily it is still showing. There was more than one hour to kill before the show starts and there is no place to shop liao. So, we went to Long John Silvers to have our dinner.
Ok..about the show..personally, I liked it very much. I think the effects are very nice. However, Dear Dear pointed out things that are not very correct.
(1) Firstly, all the electronic devices are not supposed to be working after the series of thunder and lightning in the beginning of the show. But, there was one scene that shows one person filming the whole process of the Martians attacking people on his video cam.
(2) Secondly, the tv crew managed to capture the whole battle between the air force and the martian.
Ok..before I watched the show, I thought that Tom Cruise will be the super hero who will protect his kids and save people from the monster. But it turned out that Tom Cruise is such a coward. He was so scared after seeing the monster that his kids have to ask him whether he is feeling ok. Nevertheless, Tom Cruise is very charming in the show and although he was not a super hero in the show, I still enjoyed watching him onscreen. He really can act well I think.
After the show, Dear sent me home and I decided to let Dear Dear bring Giant home to stay over the weekends. Hee..and we decided to go somewhere to take photos with Giant tmr...hee..
