DISCHARGED AND WELL
After a tormenting fight with the nasty Dengue virus....i am finally out of the hospital...thanx to all the hospital staff that have made my stay there not so unbearable at the least..but i do have to say one thing...u can die but never be sick...the cost of medical treatment is so freaking high...can u imagine a doctor charging 70 bucks for a 10 seconds consultation....of simplying asking me how u feeling today...Tat's it....70 bucks for tat 1 question....plus he's a fresh grad too....tat's so shuang...but then again i wun want to be a doctor...=)
my mum said that it was a conspiracy to just keep me away from convocation..and thus missing all the possible wonderful photos that i could have taken with my frens....admitted in on sat...with a platelet count of 79.....it dropped to 44 on sunday....and by monday it was 22....2 counts away from the danger area of 20 where platelet transfusion will have to be done...on tuesday it was 26...and i gave up all hopes of getting well in time for convocation....as i need at least 80 to be safe enuff to get off my bed...low platelet count is supposed to hinder recovery and clogging of blood..so at 22...if i bleed...i'll probably die of excessive bleeding...by wednesday...after the blood test it was 39.....still far too low for me to attend convo....but i was feeling completely alright liao...and u noe what...on thursday...i did a miraculous recovery to hit 109 on the platelet count....straightaway discharged...my mum couldnt believe her ears when i told her i can discharge already....she insisted that it's a conspirary for me to miss my convocation.....
actually i dun realli miss convo..just miss this last chance to see my cohort..and take pics with some frens ..that i'll probably not meet up with anymore..but ya..i lost this chance too..and most importantly..i had with me one very very sad vampire scholar hippo...he was looking sooo much to attending convo with me...but in the end becoz of a small little MOSQUITO....it spoilt my convo...and his convo...never mind..i shall bring him to office to pei me for a few days...I HATE Aedes...
so ya...i am realli grateful to my mum for taking care of me so well during my stay in hospital...the wonders of mummy love...she came every day straightafter work....before going for work just to buy breakfast for me...and to pei me at nite....
another person i want to thank a lot is my dear dear ! thanx for ur card and "eeyore" card holder..i love it so much...dear dear came after work every day just to visit me....and pei me for the whole of sat while i waited to be seen by the doctor and later get admitted into the hospital..always there for me....glad that BHH got to go for the convo and enjoyed himself as everyone was telling him how cute he is...
ok shall end here....i decided....shall go back to work on monday...looking forward to it..although my mc last all the way to friday...but shall be a nice employee...and earn some money to repay my medical expenses....=)
